Travis Rice is one of today’s most versatile and accomplished snowboarders today. From the top of the
mountains in Alaska to the scaffolding jumps of Munich’s Air and Style, this superstar has shown the
world he is a force to be reckoned with.
A top tier competitive rider with multiple X Games medals, Travis has the ability to transcend and lead
in multiple disciplines which is a testament to both his personality and strength as a snowboarder.
In 2006 alone, he took first place at the Munich Air and Style with an unprecedented “double
back flip back-side 180”, with another first at the Tokyo Nissan X Trial after landing a “front-side
double cork 1080.” His impressive snowboarding skills earned Travis one of the top spots on Faces
Magazine’s Top 20 Greatest Athletes Now. Travis is constantly pushing the envelope of possibility in
snowboarding.
By the age of 18, Travis was not only a successful snowboarder, but he began building a savvy
business market based on his own name and talent. He began by releasing a limited edition
snowboard in 2003 with Lib Tech and developed multiple Travis-endorsed products in the following
years.
In 2008 Travis will see his dream come true as he joins forces with Quiksilver to produced Quiksilver’s
Natural Selection; a “big mountain freestyle event” in his home town of Jackson Hole, WY. This is
event is sure to be one of snowboarding’s most compelling events in 2008.
Travis is also renowned for his creativity and relentless motivation as a filmmaker. He has channeled
his passion for the mountains and the art of snowboarding into the production of his best-selling
snowboard film to date, “Community Project”. Travis is currently in production on his new film he is
producing entitled, “That’s it, That’s all”. Despite his non-stop travel schedule and the pressures of
being a world-famous professional athlete, Travis remains a positive and inspiring role model for his
fans.
